Being well known for never having a support act and doing everything himself, Russ waited for every single person outside of the venue to get in before starting the show. Entering the stage repping his own merchandise, which was available at the venue; Russ had an incredible stage presence and out of the hundreds of gigs I’ve attended, his was the liveliest I’ve ever been to. The staging and lighting were incredible and really set the mood for each song, the pink and purple lighting for the slower songs were a favourite of mine. Being around thousands of people all singing so loudly to the slower songs about falling in love as well as jumping in time to the hype songs like ‘Flip’ really brought the crowd together and I found myself getting goosebumps many times throughout the evening.
