// Kid Brunswick // Courtyard Theatre London // First-Ever Headline Show // 06-10-21 //

Last week, Kid Brunswick took to the stage for his first-ever headline show, set in his hometown of London. The event, which sold out weeks before it was due to take place, saw over 200 friends, family and fans come together for an intimate, yet extremely energetic first show.

The atmosphere in the room was incredible, and very unexpected from an artist so early on in their career. From the 45 minutes Kid Brunswick spent on stage, it was clear that a lot of time and energy had been put into his performance, where fans were frequently interacted with, moshpits were encouraged and at one point, the ‘Bipolar Rhapsody’ singer even jumped into the crowd to join one.

The cosy Courtyard Theatre had a strong community feel, with Kid Brunswick, born Harry James, making an emotional speech where he showed his appreciation to supporters for helping him stay sober from drugs and alcohol.

The self-proclaimed ‘grunge lord’ performed a 12 song set, including the crowd favourite, ‘4AM’, unreleased track ‘Heaven Without You’ and an impromptu duet of ‘Skin’ with long time friend and collaborator, Cassyette. After his set, fans demanded an encore, which saw the headliner invite the audience on stage for the second performance of ‘Prescription Kid’, the opening track from his debut mixtape.

The 23-year-old’s energy did not negatively impact his vocals, and despite crowd-goers hanging from the ceiling above a moshpit and further hyping up the crowd, the spotlight was never off the rising star, who has already received support from Jack Saunders and made his rounds across UK press.

It was an amazing feeling to see this artist in such an intimate venue, which will not be the case for very long as Kid Brunswick will soon be embarking on a 12 date UK tour, supporting Don Broco, a select amount of tickets are still available HERE.
