// Eden // Vertigo World Tour // O2 Academy Brixton // 25-11-18 //

Eden is by far one of my favourite music artists, his unique sound and creative beats honestly do things to my body that I can’t even explain. I had never had the privilege of witnessing Eden live previously, and oh do I regret not going to see him sooner.

First of all, the aesthetics were amazing. The lighting was beautiful and very well matched to the mood of each song. There were greens, reds, blues and even strobes to make you feel more present than before. It was like some kind of weird religious experience, but in the best possible way. For the most part, Eden remained as a silhouette which allowed the crowd to focus on the music and not so much on getting his attention.

Next up of course were the vocals, which really showed off Eden’s ability to sing, on top of playing instruments live. He played the keyboard, guitar and even the beat pad with ease and managed to keep the crowd singing along till the very end.

I found a new appreciation for ‘Float’ and ‘Fumes’ which although were not on my skip list, they were not formerly known as my favourites. I was at my happiest when singing along to ‘End Credits’, which brought so much nostalgia from discovering the Irish musician on Soundcloud years ago. I know that whenever I listen to Eden from now on I’ll be brought back to standing in a huge crowd at the O2 Academy Brixton and singing along with smiling faces and happy tears around me.

If you’re a fan of Eden, I 100% recommend going to see him live and if you’re not… please just go and check out his music!
