Back home, battered and bruised yet still buzzing from the night before, the All Points East headliners have been all I have been able to talk about. If you were at the festival on Friday the 31st, you will certainly have some battle scars to prove it. In the two hours that the Bring Me The Horizon boys were on stage, they had a song for everyone, including songs off of their newest album ‘Amo’ and even some of their older, heavier songs like ‘Pray For Plagues’ were thrown into the fantastic mix. Their acoustic version of ‘Sleepwalking’ came as a pleasant surprise and the smile on Oli’s face made my night ten times better. To see a band having the best time on stage and put in so much energy made the crowd put in even more, and that energy was certainly found in the mosh pits, which at some points were too violent for the 5 foot 3 being that is me, but the crowd were a caring community who helped look for phones, shoes and even other people when groups of friends were separated.

Not only did the band bring amazing vocals and instrumental talents, they also brought co2 cannons, fire, streamers, confetti, dancers, special guests and an incredible wardrobe. With lead singer Oli Sykes having 4 wardrobe changes during their set including a custom made red ‘Mantra’ suit.

One of my favourite moments was hearing them play ‘The Sadness Will Never End’ as Oli had previously said they would not play the song live again and they haven’t done so for two years. Finishing the show with ‘Drown’ was the perfect way to end an incredible night. I can’t wait for Bring Me The Horizon to tour the UK so I can do it all over again!
